Happy New... January! Much to report:
Our annual Zeitgeist Ranking, a look at the world's top cities, is coming soon, and we would love to hear your thoughts on where is hot right now, and why. Tell us at http://hub.vg/2011ZeitgeistSurvey - its just two questions.
Each year around this time, our thoughts turn to the Alps, as we prepare for the opening of the Hub Culture Davos Pavilion - a space for collaboration and interaction during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting. This year the Pavilion will grow in size, and many leaders and influencers will be on hand from 23-30 January, 2011. If you are attending the Forum, please let us know, and we look forward to seeing you there! http://hub.vg/Davos
**************** Climate Deal Day ***********
As part of the Davos Pavilion, we've teamed up with climate leaders from around the world to spark Climate Deal Day, a global initiative for making deals that benefit climate at large. The first Climate Deal Day is 26 January, 2011, and will feature working sessions at the Davos and London Pavilions for our community to work on climate related business deals. If you are in either city, we invite you to join us on this important day for facilitated working sessions: RSVP@hubculture.com
Global action is hosted at http://www.ClimateDealDay.org, where you can share deals, get info, participate in Seed Funds ( http://hub.vg/ClimateDeals ) to push innovation, and generally make a difference for the world from anywhere. You can also attend a planning meeting for CDD next Thursday, 13 January 2011, from 2pm at the London Pavilion. RSVP@hubculture.com
A series of Facilitator Programmes are available, allowing companies to get deeply involved in the business of world improvement. We urge you to tweet, share, like and otherwise support this important initiative, via Climate Deal Day on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Hub.
************** London Activities *************
In London, you are invited to slide by for our January Member's Drinks, a networking evening for Pavilion members on Thursday, 13 January, 2011, from 7pm. Please RSVP to maria.simba@hubculture.com - who is also managing our new membership initiatives for London 2011. If your membership has expired or needs to be renewed, you can do so in just a couple clicks - http://hub.vg/membership. Mariama is working on lots of great stuff, including beauty classes, yoga, TEDWomen projects and more - all coming up this month to round out the cultural side of Hub.
Finally, the fashionable among us will be delighted to know that Maison London, our seasonal fashion pop-up with Veronica Moncho Lobo, (and featuring several hot designers) will remain open until 29 January at 35 Duke of York Square, London. If you haven't seen it yet, you must shop in! Or shop online, at http://hub.vg/maison.
The entire Hub Culture team wishes you much success and goodwill for 2011. Remember: we manifest what we think! Think well.
