Nathan Nolan said: So, you think you’ve got a problem. You’re interested in wine but feel too insecure to talk about it when it comes up in social situations. You open your mouth and all that comes out is a pathetic cry of “I don’t really know anything about wine”.

Your heart races when you have to decide on a bottle in a restaurant or pick up something to take to a friend’s for dinner. Well, you are not alone, your problem affects numerous people all from all walks of life, but fortunately there is good news - there is a solution. You just need some therapy - Wine Therapy.

Wine Therapist** Nathan Nolan eliminates the snobbery that surrounds wine by demystifying the culture and making sessions fun, relaxed and interactive. He is on a mission to empower people with the knowledge and confidence in their own ability to taste and appreciate wine.

Nathan will be on focusing on sourcing wines that are good value for money, paying particular attention to wines retailing for less than £10. The sessions will also touch on basics such as the history of wine, vine growing and wine making, wine producing countries, grape varieties and food matching.

The first session will be on Wednesday June 10 at 7pm @ The Hub Culture Pavilion London. “ Old World Summer Drinking ” is our theme, with 7 diverse offerings from France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

The cost will be £25 or 410 Ven per person and will include a selection of nibbles that will enhance the flavour of the wines.

There are only 14 places available so please message Nathan directly to book your place.

A Word from The Wine Therapist: I first fell for wine under the tutelage of a Kiwi oenophile while working in a pub in south London over 10 years ago. Later I moved into retail while taking formal training at The Wine Spirit Education Trust. My most recent work has been as a sommelier in London and LA and freelance wine consultant.
I love nothing more than sharing my knowledge and tremendous passion for wine with others so that they may be “touched” by the vine as I have been.

* Wine Therapy is not a recognised school of psychotherapy and its teachings are not condoned by The General Medical Council. Any feelings of euphoria and general well-being experienced after the sessions must be considered as entirely coincidental. Participants are, however, advised not to attempt to drive a motor vehicle after a session or operate heavy machinery.

** Wine Therapist Nathan Nolan is not a qualified therapist, nor is he trained in any type of counselling. Furthermore, he does not recommend alcohol as a substitute for more established forms of psychoanalysis and treatment. He does, however, possess a High School Diploma, is certified by The Babysitter Association of Canada and has a fearsome reputation for diffusing drunken arguments.
